Fortnite X Hatsune Miku Collab: Everything You Need To Know2 min read
Fortnite has always been at the top of its game by surprising its fans with exciting collaborations. Given their tradition of these creative collaborations, fans have always looked forward to the release of the new set of skins.
Hatsune Miku, a virtual popstar from 2007, has been a common request within the community. She is popular for her diverse range of songs composed by real-life artists: Guardians of The Galaxy has even featured one of her songs in Volume 3.
Luckily, fans won’t have to wait long before their wishes are heard. The official X account of Hatsune Miku and Fortnite Festival has just hinted at the launch of her skin.
When is Miku Coming To Fortnite
Famous leaker SHiinaBR has shared some vital information with fans: Miku arrived at Fortnite on January 14, 2025. Moreover, the Vocaloid singer will be featured in the Festival Pass for Season 7. Meanwhile, players hunt for easter eggs linked to Hatsune Miku on the Battle Royale map.
Hatsune Miku Cosmetics & Songs
Hatsune Miku consists of atleast four variants. This skin also has her back bling that syncs with Jam Tracks. However, regarding variants, she has a cell-shaded style, similar to the easter eggs players have discovered in-game, which refers to her.
When Fortnite confirmed her arrival, leakers hinted that her skin would come with a Festival Pass Skin, an Item Shop skin called “Neko Hatsune Miku.” Moreover, the skin has a mic, drum set, and two emotes, a musical contrail, and a jam track (‘Miku’ by Anamanaguchi). While it doesn’t come with drum kits, some drumsticks are accessible for players.
Additionally, Miku will have four jam tracks out of the gate this time. Players will be able to purchase “World is Mine” by Jennifer Lopez and “Work Work” by Britney Spears (that’s the censored title for “Work Bitch”).
Miku is Available with Desktop Mate
Excitement has prevailed over the Fortnite fanbase, and fans have barely been able to keep their excitement for Miku’s cosmetic pack. Luckily, another Miku is in town, and this official Steam add-on brings the talented singer to players’ desktops.
Desktop Mate replaces Microsoft’s virtual assistant, Clippy, with cute anime waifus. After all, why stick to a creepy paper clip that stares into your soul when you can have Miku, the international superstar, sitting on your desktop screen?
Conclusion
Within a week, fans will get access to their most anticipated skin and can enjoy an entertaining gameplay experience. Desktop Mate will also allow Miku to blend win with the players’ desktop as its interactive feature will enable Miku to sit on windows and play with the cursor with cute reactions.
