Exploring Marvel Rivals’ Hero Accessories3 min read

Marvel Rivals Hero Accessories

Accessories are a cosmetic  layer that is given to individual heroes in Marvel Rivals, letting players to visually and amusingly customize their experience.

What Are Accessories in Marvel Rivals?

In Marvel Rivals, accessories act like charm-style cosmetics linked to specific characters. They cannot be equipped often because each item is made for a certain hero. After being bought and outfitted, the attachment merges in with the hero’s skin; complicated or dynamic skins however display the accessory correctly.

When your hero kills or assists, a miniature version of the accessory appears on screen (usually on the right side), and the character does a quick celebratory animation. These elements also have minor visual effects and animations.

In order not to interfere with gameplay, the effects are meant to be both obvious and nonintrusive. The new K’un-Lun map drops fresh terrain and tactical twists.

How to Unlock and Equip Accessories

Accessory Points (AP), not actual cash, are used for buying accessories.

AP can be earned in a range of game modes:

  • Quick Match
  • Competitive
  • Arcade
  • Practice vs AI

At this point, you can only earn a maximum of 700 AP per week. A bonus boost is given for the first 200 AP earned in a week, but because accessories cost 1,350 AP, you’ll usually require two weeks’ worth of maximum earnings to buy one.

You are not penalized for waiting because your AP carries over if you do not use it right away.

If you have enough AP, you can buy a certain hero-specific accessory by going to the Accessories area of the Store page within the game. You can equip it right away after buying it.

The exact spot of the item can differ based on the hero and the skin they are wearing; for instance, Luna Snow’s accessory might be on her hip in one skin but on her back in another.

Heroes can wear it on their wrists, or they may have accessories that float inside or around them, like Magneto.

Which Heroes Have Accessories?

The game now has twelve accessories, each of which is connected to a separate hero.

One exception: owing to technical issues, Cloak & Dagger’s accessory is presently disabled; however, this could change. A few of the ones that are easily accessible are:

  • Alpine the Cat Plush for Winter Soldier
  • Deadpool Plush for Jeff the Land Shark
  • Jeff the Land Shark Handbag for Emma Frost
  • MJ Plush for Spider-Man
  • Polaris Plush for Magneto
  • Rocket Raccoon Plush for Groot
  • Ami the White Fox Plush for Luna Snow

A lot of heroes do not yet have accessories because the list is still quite tiny. But it appears that the system is intended to grow over time as new heroes or seasons are added. Rank boosting lets players skip the grind and climb faster.

Strategy & Player Perspective

Accessories have no edge over rivals because they are only cosmetic. Your preference for aesthetics and what matches the style of your favorite hero should lead your decision. The Jeff Handbag for Emma Frost has been praised by fans for its originality and suitability.

In the meantime, Deadpool’s cuddly charm for Jeff is popular because of its playful placement and design.
