Understanding the Marvel Rivals Ranks Season 5.5 system is essential if you want to rule the scoreboard in this action-packed game. Every rank, from Bronze to the fabled One Above All, offers rewards and difficulties.

Marvel Rivals Ranks: From Rookie to Legend

Marvel Rivals has nine primary rankings, most of which are divided into three levels. To keep you from simply skimming the list, here is the scoop:

  • Diamond (III-I) – Tough fights start here, plus you get to ban two heroes per match!
  • Gold (III-I) – Mid-level grind; a perfect place to sharpen your heroes.
  • Eternity – Hit the leaderboard to prove your dominance. Points matter!
  • Bronze (III-I) – Start here if you’re new; quick wins help you climb fast.
  • One Above All – Top 500 players only. Red crest bragging rights included.
  • Platinum (III-I) – Step up your game; flashy cosmetics await.

Cosmetics make your characters pop on the battlefield. Unlock mood cosmetics for a unique flair. Dive into our guide for details.

  • Silver (III-I) – Easy wins, solid point gains.
  • Grandmaster (III-I) – Prestigious rank, epic rewards.
  • Celestial (III-I) – Near-top tier, competitive matchmaking kicks in.

There are three tiers for every rank up to Eternity. Each tier needs 100 points, for a total of 300 points per rank. Since they depend on leaderboards, competitive play, and steady victories, Eternity and One Above All ranks are unique.

Who Can Play With Whom?

Marvel Rivals has smart matchmaking:

  • Bronze through Gold can team up freely.
  • Gold 1 to Celestial can only pair with players within three divisions.
  • Eternity and One Above All are mostly solo or duo queue, with small pairing windows.

There is little crossplay. Although console gamers (PS5/Xbox) can queue together, PC users prefer to stick together. Matches are competitive and fair as a result. Epic skins like Lady Loki are also up for grabs. Hurry and check out Lady Loki Skin Guide. Show off style while climbing ranks!

How the Competitive Mode Operates

The gameplay in ranked matches is the same as in Quickplay, but with several intriguing changes:

  • Chrono Shield: Prevents you from dropping a rank if you hit a losing streak. Charges up automatically.
  • Hero Ban System: From Diamond onward, ban two heroes per match to avoid meta-dominated games.

Pro tip: You must level your characters in Quickplay before you can access Ranked mode, which requires Level 10!
