Black Ops 6 & Warzone Update Introduces Big Movement Changes2 min read

Black Ops 6 movement

Black Ops 6 and Warzone recently got a new update that has introduced some useful changes to the movement system in both games. The November 19 update, also called the second Call of Duty patch of the day, allows players to dive and slide in the game far quicker than before. The developer launched several CoD updates that day, which were divided across two patches.

Black Ops 6 & Warzone Updates

The first patch fixed many bugs, including the one that made the shotguns have a longer shotgun range and the one that added Legacy XP Tokens again following some controversy over the last few days. The surprise update allowed players to transfer Double XP Tokens from 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 to Black Ops 6. Unfortunately, Treyarch removed it some days later.

While Treyarch confirmed that the XP tokens being reintroduced into the game was a bug, the Call of Duty community was upset at this removal. As a result of this, the developers decided to add them once again yesterday afternoon. Only hours after the game’s first update of the day came out, Treyarch launched another patch for Black Ops 6 and its battle royale title, Warzone.

It decreased the minimum sprint time players needed to perform dive-to-prone or slide, along with a fix for a problem that prevented players from sprinting once they’ve performed multiple actions in a short amount of time. Treyarch claims that these changes are for both BO6 and Warzone, resulting in enhanced movement where players can dive or slide without crouching.

In addition to some other minor bugs and chances to weapon trade stations, the update also decreased the reload time for Black Ops 6 assault rifles and light machine guns in Warzone by 10%. The developer claims that this chance is to enhance the general flow and decrease downtime between gunfights, so future updates will aim to address some other weapon classes.

Although players are enjoying Black Ops 6, its integration with Warzone wasn’t received that well by the fans because of various problems. Some of these issues are that the beloved Resurgence map Rebirth Island was removed from Warzone only hours after it came back. However,  Season 1 added it with several audio issues that haven’t been fixed as of yet.

Fortunately, the developers are quite active and are constantly launching new updates for the popular Battle Royale title; each patch is set to introduce even more improvements.
