Unlocking the Rare Grow a Garden Chicken Zombie Pet3 min read
You are not going to want to pass up the desired Chicken Zombie if you’re playing the well-liked Grow a Garden game on Roblox and want to add a truly special creature to your collection. While not being available through normal gameplay, its characteristics make it almost just a meme-pet and can have important perks. We’ve explained what it can do and how to get it.
How to get the Chicken Zombie
You cannot buy the Chicken Zombie pet through the usual in-game stores or pet eggs. However, the game’s developers distribute it during very specific, time-limited events called “Admin Abuse” events (or other unique events of a similar nature).Â
For example, on October 4, 2025, after the “Double Admin Abuse” event, the Chicken Zombie was last known to have been delivered. Basically, you have to be online and playing during the specified event window when the developers release the pet to each player in order to get it. There are currently no regular ways to get the pet if you miss that window.
To put it briefly:
- Keep an eye out for announcements from the game’s developers about upcoming special events or administrative abuse.
- Log in to the game at the start of the event.
- The Chicken Zombie will immediately show up in your inventory or hand as a free pet if you are eligible for the event. Check the Halloween Shop Guide for limited-time items.
What the Chicken Zombie does
The Chicken Zombie appears out due to its two strong passive abilities as well as to its creativity.
- Mutation trigger: The pet might trigger a Zombified mutation on a nearby fruit roughly every 29 minutes (with a 20 – 21% chance). That fruit has a 25x value multiplier because of the Zombified mutation. Get powerful Mutations to boost your crops.
- Egg hatch speed boost: It also boosts the speed at which eggs hatch by around 10.41%, which is helpful if you’re hatching a lot of eggs or rare pets.
Furthermore, the Chicken Zombie’s mutation effect may mix with other unusual mutations caused by events or weather. For example, fruits may develop a “Infected” mutation after the “Jandel Zombie” weather event; if this happens along with the Zombified effect, a “Plagued” mutation with a 102x multiplier emerges.
A “Biohazard” mutation with a 157x multiplier might occur if it pairs with a “Radioactive” mutation. See all Weather & Admin Events in the latest update.
Best practices and tips
- To activate the passive effects, check that your chicken zombie is equipped: that is, had in your hand and moving through your garden.
- The value doubles significantly when you take use of any event weather conditions (like Jandel Zombie weather) which allow combo-mutations.
- The hatch-speed boost may help cut down on waiting time if you have a lot of eggs piling up; ensure that you’re making use of the egg hatch feature to get the most out of it.
Buy rare Pets directly from the store.Even though Grow a Garden’s Chicken Zombie pet is rare and event-locked, its high passive skills make it a valuable getting for both reputation and productivity.
