Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 sets foot into the world of Nvidia’s GeForce Now game streaming service right upon launch on Friday, October 25. This is the same day it has also hit on the rest of the platforms, including PS 4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The NVIDIA Blog claims that the game’s arrival in the cloud gaming sector marks a significant expansion.
Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard in 2023, this is the first time that a Call of Duty game will launch on GeForce Now on day one of launch. While new CoD titles featured exclusive content deals with PlayStation for several years, Microsoft still struck a deal with Sony to introduce parity for its future releases. So, the two companies ended up signing a deal.
Microsoft compromised in its buyout of Activision Blizzard to get past regulators. To satisfy the authorities, Microsoft decided to make concessions and ended up porting games from the publishers and others from the Xbox PC game library to Nvidia’s streaming service. It also promised that the CoD franchise would eventually be introduced to the Nintendo platforms.
