Monster Hunter Wilds x Street Fighter 6 Event Guide4 min read

We are going to experience one of the awaited events in MHW. It is the crossover of Monster Hunter Wilds x Street Fighter 6. It’s live and in this event Capcom is bringing hunt-meets-brawl mechanics in the game.
Best part is that it is not a usual limited-time event, it’s going to stay even after the event ends. So, you will earn and enjoy this crossover event for a long-time without rushing to unlock rewards.
Starting Date and How to Join
The event began on May 28, 2025, and it is now a core part of Monster Hunter Wilds.
To start the event, you’ll need to hit Hunter Rank 21 or higher. Once that’s done, you need to talk to Quinn. He’s the Vespae Unit handler at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp. By doing so, it will kick off the side mission Ultimate Strength, which unlocks the Akuma storyline and rewards.
How To Complete Event Fast

- You need to reach HR 21 Fast
- Try to craft Akuma First
- Do Both Arena Quests
- Register Actions to Radial Menu
Akuma’s Power
If you finish the Ultimate Strength mission, you can craft Akuma’s gear. This covers both full set and layered set versions.
Although both sets allow you to use Akuma’s special moves, only the full set has increased attack power and features such as stun effects and counter attacks through the Drive Impact system.
The equipment totally overhauls your character to fit Akuma’s appearance in Street Fighter 6. It alters the face, body type, and animations.
How to Use Akuma

You get equipped, and then you can use the Item Bar to execute Assisted Combo: Akuma. This opens up special moves such as Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken. The combo branches look like they’re taken directly from SF6.
The damage from the attack is scalable based on your currently held weapon, which provides flexibility and strategy.
Donning the full Akuma set also has a custom Quest Complete screen, complete with bold “AKUMA WINS” style text. It’s one of the more stylish finishes in Monster Hunter Wilds to date.
Arena Quests and Rewards
When you’re done with the Ultimate Strength mission in MHW, now you have two new arena quests:
- Demonic Strength
- True Strength
If you complete these quests, you can unlock SF6 Tickets. You can use these tickets to craft both Akuma and Blanka-Chan Palico gear.

If you don’t already know, the Palico armor is a full-set non-mixable kit styled after Blanka. So, there will be some hilarious contrast to the seriousness of Akuma, that’s the beauty of this Monster Hunter Wilds x Street Fighter 6 crossover.
These Arena challenges offer you unique drops that have some rewards hidden inside them. Plus, you can also create hunter profile name plates as well as background frames themed around Street Fighter. With this, you can personalize your profile as much as you like.
Paid DLC Add-Ons: Chun-Li, Cammy, and More
On top of the free in-game cosmetics, Capcom included some optional DLC cosmetics. These are:
- Chun-Li and Cammy Alma Outfits ($5.99 each)
- Blanka-Chan Pendant ($1.49)
- Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku Gestures ($3.99 each)
- Street Fighter 6 Sticker Set ($1.99) These gestures aren’t all flair.
They actually contain hitboxes, so they deal damage to monsters. Though not as powerful as Akuma’s armor-based attacks, they provide a nice way to theme out your hunts.
