Marathon DCON terminals are a perfect example of how the game doesn’t always hold your hand when explaining its mechanics. You’ll need to find and use them for crucial early faction contracts, often with a timer counting down, before the game ever formally introduces them. You can avoid a lot of trouble by knowing the DCON locations in advance. This guide lists all the DCON locations and how to use them. If you need a refresher on the objectives themselves, check out our full list of priority contracts from all six factions.
Marathon DCON locations
On all Marathon maps, DCONs are located outside or atop buildings in and around a few significant points of interest. The locations for Perimeter, Dire Marsh, and Outpost are as follows:
Perimeter DCON locations
You should never be far from finishing your contract on this map because Perimeter is home to four DCON venues.
- In the northwest corner of the entire map, west-northwest of the main North Relay area.
- To the northeast of Station, there are colony cars and a lot of rock formations.
- On the outermost border of Perimeter, far south of the main South Relay area.
- At the end of a pathway from the main building on Overflow’s western border.
Take a look at these essential Marathon materials that players use to improve their builds and survive longer runs.
Dire Marsh DCON locations
There are only three DCONs in Dire Marsh:
- Near the hills on the map’s edge, northwest of the main Greenhouse building.
- It is essentially the southeast corner of Dire Swamp, located in the midst of the swamp, east of AI Uplink and south of Complex.
- About southwest of Quarantine’s main facility, in a marshy location.
Outpost DCON locations
Outpost features three DCONs, which are more difficult to access due to the Heat Cascade mechanism.
- The big roof hatch is located in the center of the western Airfield hangar.
- In Orientation, outside the southeast building’s northeastern boundary.
- Outside the central Processing building’s southeast corner.

How to use a DCON in Marathon
Once you’ve located a Marathon DCON terminal, interact with it to access its inventory. Click and drag any necessary items from your inventory into the DCON’s inventory (controller players must press L2/LT to pick up and drop inventory items). After you close the menu, the machine will begin teleporting your items to another location. With any luck, this will finish whatever contract you have for one of the Marathon factions.
You don’t have to complete all of a contract’s requirements at once throughout a run because DCONs can be used as often as needed. Unless your contract specifies otherwise, you could even spread it out over several runs.
Pro-Tip: Remember, you don’t have to deposit all required items for a contract in one raid. You can use the same DCON across multiple runs to complete the objective safely

We offer a wide range of Marathon items for sale, including Cores, Weapons, Mods, and more; all of which can be safely delivered in-game.
