XP boards in Forza Horizon 6

Forza Horizon 6 has added a new way for players to gain experience points. The new Japan map has XP boards in Forza Horizon 6 spread all across the game map for players to collect and gain experience points.

What are XP Boards?

The XP Boards are also known as Bonus Boards. They are the collectable points in Forza Horizon 6 that are scattered across the open world map. Players get rewarded with instant experience points that helps them level up their profile, earn wheelspins, and unlock cosmetic items or cars.

Types of XP Boards

There are a few different types of XP Boards that are hidden across the Japan Map:

  • 1000 XP and 3000 XP Boards: These XP boards can be found easily across the map in plain sight or on accessible rooftops. The reward for these is smaller and are easy to grab.
  • 5000 XP Boards: These XP Boards are the hardest to collect, often found on very high, hard-to-reach spots that require players to use ramps to jump at a precise angle to smash them.

Map Visibility

XP Boards do not show up on the player’s map by default. Instead, a purple icon of the board appears on the map once the player is physically close enough to discover it.

If a board icon disappears from the world map, it is usually because a map filter is applied that hides all the collectables, or it is an unearned board from a different section of the game.

The 5000 XP Boards are placed up high, so they require jumps at a very precise angle, so players will usually need cars with high acceleration that run on all four wheels to hit the required speeds over the short run up.

Missing Boards

If the final remaining XP Boards in Forza Horizon 6 are not appearing on your map, even if you’re tracking them, that does not mean that they have vanished. It simply means that they are in areas you haven’t gone past yet. Some Boards require players to get really close to them before the game triggers them onto your world map.
