According to the latest patch notes for Forza 5, notable additions include Abarth 131, BMW M4 Competition, Cadillac, XTS Limousine, Mercedes 280SL, Pagani Huayra BC, and Rivian R1S. Each of these new cars comes with its set of unique features that will enhance players’ performance. This update will officially begin on October 10th; however, players will get the download feature on October 7th.

Let’s take a look at what this latest update has to offer:
- Horizon Backstage
As per the latest patch notes, the backstage pass is finally back and is said to allow players to purchase any cars they find hard to access from the backstage shop. However, it’s important to note that once the update begins, the backstage shop will not have every car available and will be starting with six vehicles in the initial stages: a 1980 Fiat 131, Abarth 2021, a BMW competition coupe 2013, Cadillac XTS the 1967 Mercedes Benz 280 SL, the Proton Wira and the 2022 Rivian R1S.
Fortunately, based on majority votes, two more cars will be added to the backstage shop every week. Moreover, an extra backstage pass can be purchased from the shop for 1000 credits.
While navigating through this update, players will have to consider the following rules:
- Players are only allowed to purchase one car at a time.
- Any vehicle purchased directly from the backstage shop can be put in the auction house or sent as a gift drop.
- The horizon backstage pass will be dropped once the new season begins, and as a celebratory token, all the players will receive a complimentary backstage pass via in-game messages.
- New Additional Cars
In Series 39, a total of four new cars will be introduced. Don’t get too excited! We are still not getting the Honda EG, Iro Z, or even the Venturi Atlantic or 400 GT.
Regardless, the 1997 Toyota Soarer 2.5 GT-T is one of the four in this new update. The interior of this car will be completely different; however, it is similar to the JZX81 Chaser we got in the series 38. To unlock this, you must earn 20 points in the summer season
1998 Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R is our second car. This FTO will also possess additional body customizations from Bose speed and the anticipated Forza arrow. Players must earn 20 points to unlock this car during the Autumn season.
Moving on to our third car, we have a second new former car: a 1990 Aston Martin Lagonda. Earning 20 points in the winter is a must to unlock this one.
Lastly, we have a returning car from Forza Horizon 3: a 1996 Subaru SVSX. Since Thai was well-loved in the Forza Horizon 3, players look forward to its revival. To unlock this car, you need to earn 20 points during the spring season.
- New Collectibles and Eventable Props
In week one, players must complete a photo challenge: DresstoImpressa. This update will feature three new badges: Stay Cool, Casetting The Trend, and Would You Like To Help. These fun props and challenges ensure that players have social fun while actively participating in the game.
