Black Ops 7 is right around the corner. Many people are counting down the days until they jump into their fan-favourite franchise. The upcoming entry plans on reinvigorating the multiplayer in a lot of unique ways while introducing more futuristic elements. Many are only wondering if their BO6 skins will be transferred to BO7. Here’s everything you need to know about this!
Will Black Ops 6 Skins Transfer To Black Ops 7?
Following the SBMM and aim assist changes, players are now talking about BO6 skins. They wonder if they’ll carry over to Black Ops 7. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening. In the beginning, Activision announced that BO6 Operators and weapons would carry over to Black Ops 7. Following tons of backlash from the community, the devs decided to go back on their decision.
If you’re wondering if BO6’s crossover skins like American Dad and Beavis and Hutt-Head Operators will be coming to BO7, the answer is now a confirmed no.
There were also rumours of the game launching a bit earlier, but those were shut down. Stephanie Snowden, the senior director of comms at Activision, also spoke on the topic of crossover skins.
She said, “When it comes to cosmetics, we have a very broad community to serve with lots of different interests and tastes across game modes. We are paying attention to that, but we also need to do right by our players”. Once the game officially comes out, make sure to jump into some Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies. Here, you can enhance your skills and explore the various mechanics.
Black Ops 7 Carry Forward Feature
Black Ops 7 is set to feature a Carry Forward program bringing over items from Black Ops 6 that are tied to a player’s progression. During launch, Double XP Tokens and GobbleGums in Zombies will be carried over to Black Ops 7. No other carry-over content has been confirmed yet, but there are a handful of things that will not be transferring from Black Ops 6 to BO7:
- BO6 weapon camos won’t be carried over to BO7, but you can still use them in BO6.
- Equipment and Scorestreak skins for content not available in BO7 won’t be carried over.
- Equipment and Scorestreak skins for content updated for BO7 (like a Scorestreak performing similarly, but with a fresh look and feel in BO7) won’t be carried forward.
On top of the transfer, players can also expect to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 get integrated into Warzone in the very beginning of Season 1. This means that you’ll get to see some massive changes to the game’s meta. Therefore, make sure to get your hands on some cheap CoD Points from the MitchCactus website to ensure that the fun doesn’t stop midway.
Conclusion
That’s all there is to know about Black Ops 7 skins and whether they will be carried over from BO6. Hopefully, the devs will reveal more content that’ll be transferred to the upcoming title. In the meantime, we would suggest not spending more money on BO6 skins.
