Modern Warfare 2019 developed Tac-Sprint, a faster version of the regular sprint. This feature spewed controversy within the gaming community as it is much faster to sprint and fire out of a regular sprint than a Tac-Sprint. 

Moreover, players could only use Tac-Sprint for a limited amount of time in that game. Black Ops 6 sort of sorted that issue by allowing players to utilize an unlimited Tac-Sprint while carrying a knife. That’s right! Is Slipstream better than Tac-sprint?

Double time is a perk that maximizes the duration of Tac-Sprint. If you were to Tac-Sprint from one side of the map to the other with Double Time equipped, you would get from point A to B much quicker than someone using Slipstream.

On average, Slipstream is almost 9% slower than Tac-Sprint with Double Time, a difference of 200 milliseconds. This is a very evident gap, but most believe Slipstream is better than Tac-Sprint because it is free of slow-to-fire speeds. 

Aggressive players will appreciate this Perk because they can sprint around the map and aim down sight faster than you can with the Tac-Sprint.

It is less helpful for SMGs with good sprint-to-fire speeds, but players don’t need to stress about getting caught in the Tac-Sprint animation when trying to out-maneuver an enemy. 

It is also important to note that there isn’t a noticeable difference between Tac-Sprint and Double Time in slide speed. Sliding is one of the most critical movement abilities in Black Ops 6 because you can escape gunfights or change the angle. 

Due to the lack of a big difference, Slipstream has another edge. Both options have downsides, so ultimately, they get reduced to personal preference and which weapon you use. However, this is the ideal Perk if you are tired of Tac-Sprint in Call of Duty.
