Racing around Japan’s already a wild ride, and then you throw Hide and Seek Mode into the mix. Gone are the straightforward finish-line chases, because now you’re either out to evade a team of hot on your tail hunters or stalking down some speedy rogue to stop them from getting away.
This multiplayer mode is dead simple to pick up, but what happens next can be a real adrenaline rush. Especially once you’re out there dodging or chasing after someone. Whether you’re in the Hider’s shoes or one of the team of Seekers hot on their heels, understanding the rules and what your character can do will make all the difference between winning and losing.

How to Play as the Hider
Playing as the Hider is all about keeping your Seekers guessing; they can’t know what you’re going to do next. Your first big job is to keep your neck out for four minutes; don’t let the Seekers get a lock on you. The good news is that you can see where they are on the mini map at all times, so you can start plotting your escape routes before they get too close.
But here’s the thing: when a Seeker spots you and sticks around, their “spotted” meter starts to fill up. If the meter reaches maximum, the Seekers win. However, if you create enough distance, the detection meter slowly decreases.
Use the Chase Breaker Ability
The Hider has a special ability called Chase Breaker. This ability is temporary:
- Ghosts your vehicle
- Slows nearby Seekers
- Creates a chance to escape difficult situations
Don’t waste it early. Save Chase Breaker for moments when multiple Seekers are closing in or when you’re approaching the End Zone. To win Hide and Seek Mode in Forza Horizon 6 as the Hider, survive the first phase and successfully reach the finish line after the End Zone opens.
How to Play as a Seeker
Seekers have a different objective: find and catch the Hider before they escape. The key tool for every Seeker is the radar located at the bottom of the screen. Unlock the map faster and improve progress in Forza Horizon 6, with a Japan boost. Grab it from MitchCactus now!
Watch the Radar Carefully
The radar fills as you get closer to the Hider.
- An empty radar means you’re far away.
- Partially filled radar means you’re heading in the right direction.
- Full radar means the Hider is very close.
This system prevents matches from becoming impossible and helps Seekers narrow down the search area. Good communication and teamwork are essential when playing Hide and Seek Mode in Forza Horizon 6 as a Seeker.
Use Hider Ping to Track Targets
Once you actually spot the Hider, another useful ability becomes available. The Seeker ability, called Hider Ping, temporarily marks the Hider’s location. This allows all Seekers to see them more easily and coordinate the chase.
Using Hider Ping at the right moment can quickly turn a difficult hunt into an easy capture. Stay close to the Hider and keep pressure on them to fill the detection bar. Find out the location of the Goliath race through our guide. Dive in for the details.
Tips for Winning
Whether you’re hiding or seeking, these tips can help you succeed:
For Hiders
- Avoid driving in predictable straight lines.
- Use forests, mountain roads, and side paths.
- Keep an eye on the mini-map.
- Save Chase Breaker for emergencies.
- Plan your route to the End Zone before it appears.
For Seekers
- Follow radar signals rather than driving randomly.
- Split up to cover more territory.
- Use Hider Ping immediately after spotting the target.
- Block possible escape routes.
- Stay close once contact is made.
