WARDOGS progression depends on what you do in a match and the gear you use. You do not pick a fixed class and stay locked into its equipment. Instead, the game has separate progression tracks for Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, and Pilot. Your overall WARDOG level also unlocks shared gear.
How WARDOGS Progression Works
WARDOGS’ six role tracks, Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, and Pilot, progress independently. Your overall Career level is separate from these role-specific levels.
Season 2 adds its own WARDOG progression track, with shared utility unlocks like supply pallets. Every track has its own specific purpose, which is why understanding the rewards helps you spend cash and XP smartly.
You can also buy WARDOGS class level boosting to help you reach the level of your choice without spending hours painstakingly gaining XP.
Choose a Role Your Squad Can Actually Use
Before you pick a role, take a long look at what your squad needs and which equipment you have unlocked. Picking a Medic means you can lend a hand to team recovery with a Medical Bag. Choosing Recon will give you long-range options like the scoped Mosin.
| Role | Team function | Specific equipment example | Progression target |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medic | Helps teammates recover | Medical Bag | Unlocks at Medic level 14 |
| Recon | Supports long-range engagements | PU 91/30 scope for the Mosin | Level 10; $12,500 |
| Support | Provides heavy firepower | PKM | Support level 15; $100,000 |
| Driver | Moves the squad and operates ground vehicles | Wolf-110 | Driver level 8; $50,000 |
| Pilot | Provides air transport and armed-aircraft options | Little Bird AH-6M with miniguns | Pilot level 8; $125,000 |
Best Progression Targets for Each Role
Assault: AK74 and Molotov Cocktail
Assault is best-suited for players who fight on objectives and prefer attacking over defense. The AK74 is unlocked by default. At level 13 of this role, you can unlock the Molotov Cocktail for $25,000. It creates burning ground that damages enemies.

Recon rewards ranged combat and spotting enemies for your team. At level 10, the Mosin Nagant can use the PU 91/30 scope, which costs $12,500 to unlock. The M14 with a 10-round magazine unlocks at Recon level 25 for $100,000.
Support: PKM and M249
The PKM unlocks at Support level 15 for $100,000, while the M249 requires level 20 and $150,000. Support’s main focus is heavy weapons and construction.

FAQs
Are WARDOGS classes locked?
No. The game has separate progression tracks, but your loadout is flexible. You can combine equipment and change roles as your squad needs.
Does switching roles reset my progress?
No. Each role track has its own level. Switching does not erase the levels you have already earned in a certain role.
Is the unlock fee the full cost of an item?
No, not always. Some items have a one-time unlock fee, then cost extra cash to equip or deploy. Check both costs before spending.
What Should I Unlock First?
Choose according to your preferred role. The Medical Bag at Medic level 14 is a useful target for team healing. For vehicles, the Wolf-110 at Driver level 8 is an early option.
Class progression in WARDOGS consists of two things: picking a role and working towards a specific unlock. You can always change your setup if your squad requires it or if you are just not vibing with your current role.
