Monster Hunter Wilds Global Exhibition Prep

The Monster Hunter Wilds Global Exhibition has already ended at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 20. However, the two Challenge Quests used by the champion teams are still playable for hunters at HR100+: Event: Dreams May Soar and Event: Unchained Arkveld.

This Monster Hunter Wilds Global Exhibition prep guide covers the gear, builds, and preparation needed for both quests.

What the Global Exhibition Was (And Why It Still Matters)

The Monster Hunter Wilds Global Exhibition was a one-time live event held at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Four regional champion teams: Hell Hunters, Hunter’s Pride, Monster Hunter Forever!!, and Laugh Cat, competed live.

The event is over, but the two Challenge Quests created for the competition are still the main reason hunters can revisit it. Both quests can be played and farmed by eligible hunters.

Did the Monster Hunter Wilds Global Exhibition already happen? Yes. It took place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Capcom’s Hall 7 booth stage at Makuhari Messe.

Team France, Hunter’s Pride, won the Monster Hunter Wilds Championship at Global Exhibition. The two Challenge Quests cover all 14 weapon types. Check our guide on how to max every weapon in 60 minutes to prepare faster.

The Two Challenge Quests You Can Still Take On

Two high-level challenge quests, Event: Dreams May Soar and Event: Unchained Arkveld, are currently live in the Wounded Hollow for players at Hunter Rank 100 or higher.

Both quests launched on August 3/4, 2026, before the Monster Hunter Wilds Global Exhibition. This means players could access and complete the quests before the exhibition took place. They are scheduled to run until January 1, 2027, with no hard end date listed.

Do I need to be HR 100 to try these quests? Yes. Both quests lock out players below Hunter Rank 100. If you are under HR 100, you must level up your rank first before attempting either event.

Best Gear for Event: Dreams May Soar

Event: Dreams May Soar pits HR100+ hunters against Xu Wu, Lagiacrus, and Arch-Tempered Nu Udra. It uses preset gear, so you do not need to farm armour or build your own loadout.

Available weapon types are Hammer, Light Bowgun, Great Sword, Heavy Bowgun, Lance, and Switch Axe.

  • Xu Wu: Use Hammer or Light Bowgun and focus on steady damage.
  • Lagiacrus: Use Great Sword, Heavy Bowgun, Lance, or Switch Axe. Learn its attacks before committing to long combos.
  • Arch-Tempered Nu Udra: Save healing and other resources for this final fight and avoid taking unnecessary damage.

Focus on learning the preset weapons, monster patterns, and clean damage windows rather than farming extra gear.

Best Gear for Event: Unchained Arkveld

Event: Unchained Arkveld pits HR100+ hunters against Arch-Tempered Arkveld in the Wounded Hollow. The quest uses preset gear, so you do not need to bring or craft your own loadout.

Available weapon types are Sword & Shield, Gunlance, Bow, Dual Blades, Charge Blade, and Insect Glaive. Learn Arkveld’s chain attacks and save healing items for its harder phases.

Two named weapons in the preset gear are:

  • Terrible Twins: Dual Blades from the Seregios tree, with 210 attack, 25% affinity, and Bladescale Honing.
  • Verzweiflung: Bow from the Gore Magala tree, with 210 attack, 20% affinity, Dragon element, and Critical Element Lv. 3.

For use outside the quest, Terrible Twins upgrades from Zakun Twins I, while Verzweiflung upgrades from Entbehrung I using Seregios or Gore Magala materials.

Fastest Way to Gear Up Before You Queue

If you are missing a full High Rank armour set, farming the required materials can be the slowest part of your prep. Getting a complete set first gives you the defence and resistances needed for these Challenge Quests.
