Modern Warfare 3 has added a NEW melee weapon themed around the Godzilla x Kong: New Empire collaboration. Players can use King Kong’s B.E.A.S.T glove in Multiplayer, Warzone, Zombies and even Warzone Mobile. Here’s what we know about the MW3 B.E.A.S.T glove melee weapon:
THE TITAN COLLECTION
Season 2 ended with the release of the King Kong Tracer Pack, which kickstarted the crossover with the Godzilla x Kong: New Empire movie. Season 3 then spread out the release of the Skar King, Shimo and Godzilla packs. Each bundle costs 2400 COD Points, and is apart of the Titan collection.
These packs are only available for a limited time, but do feature several tracer blueprints, cosplay outfits themed around the titans and movie themed cosmetics.
UNLOCKING THE B.E.A.S.T GLOVE
While the entire Titan collection costs upwards of $80 depending on currency, a bonus weapon is rewarded for players who purchase all four packs. The B.E.A.S.T glove blueprint for the new gladiator melee weapon will be added to player’s account after the full Titan collection is acquired.
Sadly, players currently can’t equip any mastery or pack a punch camos on the B.E.A.S.T glove, but the studio confirmed a fix is in the works for this issue. Fans of the Monsterverse can still level up their gladiator when using the glove though.
THE $80 PRICE TAG
The new B.E.A.S.T glove sparked controversy in the Call of Duty community considering the hefty price required to unlock it. Many folks suggested the idea that the glove should’ve been unlocked for scanning a movie ticket for “New Empire” and completing the Battle For Hollow Earth XP event. Buying out the entire Titan collection is only worth it if the player really wanted all the cosmetics that came with it.
Activision has experimented with bundle collections before, but have only added bonus rewards for purchasing a maximum of two packs. It remains to be seen if offerings similar to the B.E.A.S.T glove will release in the foreseeable future. For now, players hope to see a ragdoll effect and camo support apart from just the unique inspect the glove comes with.
