Horizon Realms Launches

Playground Games just rolled out one of the most content-packed updates for Forza Horizon 5. Horizon Realms launches today across all platforms, including Xbox, PC, and now PlayStation 5. This update doesn’t just celebrate Forza’s PS5 debut, it revives fan-favorite Evolving Worlds and introduces a brand-new track. If you’re playing on any of the Forza Horizon 5 platforms, there’s a lot waiting for you.

Horizon Realms Entry Points

You can jump into the Horizon Realms from the in-game menu under the Campaign tab. If you’re new to Forza on PS5, you’ll need to unlock the Festival Playlist first. On PC and Xbox, the feature appears instantly if you’ve been playing for a while. You can also reach the location directly in free roam next to the Stadium.

Realms Are Back

Horizon Realms Launches with New Features on All Platforms

Horizon Realms brings back 11 fan-favorite Evolving Worlds, previously time-limited in the Festival Playlist. These include:

  • Stunt Park
  • Ice Rink
  • Oval Track
  • Summer Party
  • Neon Strip
  • Día de Muertos
  • Winter Wonderland
  • Lunar Drift Arena
  • Retrowave Highway
  • Cars and Coffee
  • Stadium Maze

Each realm supports two game modes: Skill Mode and Free Mode. Skill Mode gives you five minutes to rack up the highest skill score possible. Free Mode allows full exploration either solo or with up to 11 friends in a convoy.

New Horizon Stadium Track

This is the only brand-new realm. It’s a technical circuit inside the stadium that rewards handling over brute speed. Skill Mode here operates the same as the other Realms, including a five-minute limit. The pink boundary lines on the minimap show out-of-bounds zones.

The Good and the Lacking

Bringing back past content is a win. Horizon Realms lets PS5 players experience worlds they missed. It also preserves previous work from Playground Games. The bad news? Free Mode is limited. Once you’ve explored an area, there’s little reason to return unless you’re grinding accolades or snapping photos. Also, each realm is fenced to the specific space used in the original monthly playlist.

Four New Reward Cars

Reward cars

All four are obtainable via the Horizon Realm accolades tab. Some are also tied to specific race wins or road accolades.

Horizon Realms launches with four new exclusive vehicles:

  • 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto – Unlock by winning the Horizon Stadium Circuit.
  • 2023 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato – Complete Skill Mode in all 12 Realms.
  • 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430 – Finish Skill Mode in six Realms.
  • 2022 Hennessey Mammoth 6×6 – Earned by completing Skill Mode in just one Realm.

Massive Boost for Completionists

Horizon Realms adds 45 new Accolades and 17 new Achievements on Xbox and Steam. On PS5, the game now features 111 Trophies, 17 of which are tied directly to Horizon Realms. These challenges include tasks like earning skill chains in specific vehicles, completing Drift or Speed Skills, or taking themed photos in the decorated locations.

Nissan Heritage Car Pack Tease

Alongside Horizon Realms, Playground teased the Nissan Heritage Car Pack. It hasn’t launched yet but is expected soon. The cars look compact, retro, and full of character. This pack adds another layer of classic fun for longtime Nissan fans.

PS5 Players Finally Join the Festival

With Horizon Realms launches, PS5 players can now jump into all the chaos. Those who purchased the Premium Edition can access the game starting April 25. Standard and Deluxe owners will join on April 29. The PS5 version includes all the same content available on other Forza Horizon 5 platforms. The only real difference is a slight startup delay due to a custom Panic Button intro screen.

Final Thoughts

Horizon Realms gives you a lot to explore. It’s not groundbreaking in mechanics, but it’s a solid addition to Forza Horizon 5’s growing legacy. This update adds fantastic new cars and activities, but the grind can be overwhelming for casual and returning players. The smartest shortcut is Forza Horizon 5 Modded Accounts with 900 million credits, rare cars, and thousands of wheelspins. These accounts by MitchCactus give you instant access to the best Horizon Realms content without wasting time. Instead of chasing seasonal rewards in a crowded Free Mode, start your adventure already stacked with exclusive vehicles and unlocks.

It’s the smartest investment for players who want the full Forza experience without weeks of slow progression.
