BO7 Weapon Prestige Camos: Level 250 Grind and Unlock Order

Weapon Prestige is one of the longest progression grinds in Black Ops 7, rewarding players with exclusive camos, attachments, and other weapon-specific rewards. Here’s how the journey works from your weapon’s first Prestige through Level 250.

What Are BO7 Weapon Prestige Camos?

Weapon Prestige is a per-weapon progression system. After reaching a weapon’s maximum level, you can enter Weapon Prestige 1, level it again, complete Weapon Prestige 2, and then enter Weapon Prestige Master. Your weapon can then progress to Level 250.

This should not be confused with Account Prestige, which resets your overall player level and unlock progression. Weapon Prestige affects the individual weapon instead.

BO7 Weapon Prestige Unlock Order

The exact starting Max Level varies by weapon, so check the Gunsmith screen for the current requirement. Activision’s official progression guide confirms the Weapon Prestige path, Prestige Attachment unlock, Prestige Master milestones, and Level 250 completion reward.

TierRequirementMain Reward

Weapon Prestige 2Reach its Max Level againSecond Camo, permanent attachment unlock, weapon-specific Charm

The large gaps between the named rewards are intentional. There are no additional major camo milestones listed between Levels 100, 150, 200, and 250; those levels are simply part of the continued Weapon Prestige Master grind.

What Do Prestige Attachments Do?

Prestige Attachments are one of the biggest reasons to Prestige a weapon early. Weapon Prestige 1 unlocks a unique attachment associated with that weapon, along with a permanent attachment unlock.

This makes Prestige 1 useful even if you don’t plan to grind all the way to Level 250. Prestige 2 adds further progression rewards before the weapon enters Prestige Master.

How Long Does Level 250 Take?

There is no fixed official completion time because Weapon XP depends on the weapon, game mode, performance, XP bonuses, and current balance updates.

As a practical estimate, expect roughly 8-12+ hours of focused play per weapon to go from the initial weapon progression through Weapon Prestige and toward Level 250. This can vary considerably, so treat it as a rough benchmark rather than a guaranteed time. Weapon 2XP Tokens can shorten the grind, while consistently using the same weapon keeps your XP focused instead of spreading progression across several guns.

Weapon Prestige vs. Account Prestige

These systems are separate:

  • Account Prestige: increases your overall player progression and resets the normal level track when you Prestige.
  • Weapon Prestige: applies to one individual weapon and unlocks weapon-specific progression rewards.
  • Weapon Prestige Master: begins after Weapon Prestige 2 and extends that weapon’s progression to Level 250.

Which Weapon Should You Prestige First?

Start with a weapon you regularly use. The Prestige Attachment gives you an immediate gameplay benefit, while choosing a favorite weapon also makes the longer Level 250 grind more worthwhile.

Weapon Prestige Camos vs. BO2 Throwback Camos

Some Level 250 rewards are classic returning BO2 skins, like Weaponized 115 on the Echo 12, while Cobalt Circuit, Vermilion Cypher, and Violet Network are earned per-weapon and only usable on the gun that earned them. Is Weapon Prestige Master 250 Worth It?

Worth it for guns you actually use and want the attachment for; not worth it for launchers or weapons sitting unused in your loadout. It’s a multi-hour, per-weapon commitment, so if you want the camos and attachment without the full grind, our BO7 Weapon Prestige Camos service handles it for you.
